Discover Fethiye
Fethiye is a provincial town located within the state of Muğla where both the Mediterranean and Aegean seas intersect. The town’s previous name was 'Meğri' which in Greek, means 'of distant Land'.
It is a town especially developed for tourism. Istanbul is 720 km, Ankara 650 km and Izmir is 360 km away from Fethiye, Therefore, Dalaman Airport is the most convenient airport for those travelling to Fethiye town Centre which is 53 km away.

Kayaköy Ancient City
This charming village has a history dating back to 5000 BC. It has a history spanning 3000 years. Until 1922, the Greek population living here immigrated back to Greece as a result of the exchange and the Turks living in Greece settled in Kayaköy, but it has not been inhabited since 1922. Kayaköy, is a classical Greek village, did not suit the lifestyle of the Turks coming from Thrace as there were no stables to tie their horses, and Kayaköy was not located close to a river.

Saklıkent Canyon
Saklıkent Canyon is a miracle of nature and a thing of beauty that really should be seen.
Saklıkent Canyon, borders on the states of Antalya and Muğla, a unique asset created by the Karaçay which is connected to the Eşen stream. The length of the canyon is 18 km and a height of 200 meters. The narrowest point falls to 2 meters.
The Official paper dated: 06/06/1996, declared Saklıkent Canyon a National Park and was also granted a preservation order. Based on the intense plant life and vegetation, the laram, alder, elm and cedar trees are the most prominent trees in the areas. The Entrance to the steep slopes of the canyon is a 200 meter iron clad, wooden bridge. Beyond the Bridge there are extremely cold spring waters.
The base of the canyon is filled with very cold ice water. Although it is difficult to pass through the running water, it is possible to make a safe passage across with the help of ropes. After passing through this part of the canyon, you can walk along the calm stream in between the huge rocks.
According to the local folklore, the canyon was discovered by a shepherd who was in pursuit of a goat that was trying to escape and this became a matter of curiosity. Saklıkent was declared a National Park by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry after the discovery was notified by the shepherd. Saklıkent is what it is today thanks to the support of some private companies.

Butterfly Valley
The history of Butterfly Valley, which can only be accessed by boats departing from Ölüdeniz, dates back to 400 BC. It derives its name from around 80 different species of butterflies, notably the 'Tiger Butterfly' living in the valley. The steep cliffs surrounding the valley rises up to 350 meters, provides the valley with an autonomous and isolated position.
Butterfly valley is a paradise that has been preserved amongst the high hills of Fethiye's Faralya village. Butterfly Valley is usually visited on a daily basis. There is however, the opportunity to stay in bungalows and camping tents.
With its clean and clear sea, steep cliffs, waterfall and endemic vegetation, it is definitely one of the places to visit.

Fethiye Paspatur Market
Paspatur Fethiye Bazaar, which takes its name from the Paspatur water, consists of 5 streets.
According to legend, when people who came to Fethiye drank the water of paspatur, they would definitely return to Fethiye and settle there.
In the bazaar, there are many souvenir shops, carpet, leather, jewelry stores, cafes, bars and restaurants.
What is notable about Paspatur Market is the authentic houses with wooden bay windows.
There is a little legend linked to the bazaar's name. Those who drank water from the fountain inside Paspatur bazaar would come to Fethiye at least once, or they could never leave Fethiye.
You must visit Paspatur Bazaar which is one of Fethiye's most delightful locations.

Çaliş Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Fethiye.

Amintas Rock Tombs
The Amintaş rock tombs carved out the soft rock are located next to Fethiye Castle, date back to the Lycian period 4th century BC. You can access the Amintas by climbing up the 100 or so smooth steps.
The rock is suitable for carving out the tombs which was a burial site for citizens of high status.
Written on the magnificent and beautiful Amyntas Tomb with the alphabet of the 4th century BC, are the words "Herpamiasoğlu Amintas". Apart from hundreds of monumental tombs, is the magnificent view of Fethiye and the sea.
Ölüdeniz
The name Ölüdeniz is of course legendary, and has been remembered for years with spectacular images of the lagoon appearing in Turkey's publicity photos, and video. Öludeniz, is the first region that comes to mind when it comes to prestigious 'blue flag'the beaches, was in 2006, selected with a huge vote as "the most beautiful beach in the world".
Ölüdeniz, was called as "Land of Light and Sun" during the Lycian Civilization, and "Far Land" in the Middle Ages. Ölüdeniz, consists of Belcekız Beach, Blue Lagoon & Kumburnu and Kıdrak beaches, offers unique scenic beauty with an abundance of oxygen from the surrounding verdent mountains and the cleanliness and clarity of the turquoise blue sea.

Belcekız Beach
This beach is open to the public and free of charge. Even on days when the sea is rough, it will not lose its vibrant turquoise blue color. Behind Belcekız Beach, there are many restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, souvenirs sellers, Ölüdeniz Bazaar etc.

Blue Lagoon & Kumburnu
This beach, which gives its name to Ölüdeniz, can be considered a natural wonder where the sea is calm and clear all year round. Non-motorised water sports equipment can be used to navigate the Lagoon. This unique beach, is a National Park, and there is an entrance fee to access the park.

Kıdrak Bay Beach
This bay and beach, which is from Belcekız Beach, approximately 900 meters from the direction of Faralya, attracts interest with its calmness, the opportunity to cool off under the great pine trees and the magnificent, clear turquoise blue sea. The trees at Kıdrak Bay are under state protection. There is a symbolic entrance fee for this magnificent bay, and according to the season, you can visit at different times.

Blue Cave
You can enter this fascinating cave by swimming off the boat docks, which is only 2-3 minutes by sea from Kıdrak Bay, You will be astounded by the waters clarity and the caves visual natural show in various colors. This cave is suitable for both freestyle swimmers and scuba diving, should definitely be visited.
Babadağ
Babadağ consists of two separate summits. The tallests summit is 1969 meters and the second peak, Kartepe stands at 1400 meters. This is the reason why Babadağ is described as a mountain range by some geographers. There is a deep flood valley between these two peaks. Babadağ attracts a lot of interest with its vegetation and paragliding.
Babadağ vegetation: Babadağ has been a habitat for many endemic plants with its intriguing geographical structure, although it is high, the proximity to the sea and its mild Mediterranean climate. Nearly 50 rare and endangered plants around the world have been identified in Babadağ. Fethiye Moryildizi (Chionodoxa forbesii), Babadağ Delicate Canflower (Asyneuma Babadaghensis) Pyrethrum (Tanacetum praeteritum ssp.
There is a significant presence of wild animals on the slopes, hills, valleys, coves and coasts of Babadağ. Wild goat (Capraaegagrus), wolf (Canis lupus), coyote (Canis aureus), fox (Vulpes vulpes), wild boar (Sus scrofa), badger (Meles meles) and otter (Lutra luira) are among the species seen on the mountain.
The region is also one of the most important bird sanctuaries and breeding area of the region. Puhu (Bubo bubo), golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) and masked spider bird (Lanius nubicus) found a habitat in this area along with other winged birds.
In addition to many reptile species, the globally endangered black salamander (Mertensiella luschani) can also be found in the region.

Aquarium Bay
Aquarium Bay: can only be reached by sea and its water is as clean and clear as an aquarium. You will need goggles and snorkel to swim with the fish in the sea.
Cold Water Bay
There is a cold water spring in this bay, and after a long walk by land, you can easily reach the bay by sea. As you jump out of the boat and reach the spring and return to the spring you realize just how hot it is. It is a magnificent bay and cold fresh water spring to cool off in the summer heat.
Camel Beach
Camel Beach is located right next to the Cold Water Bay and was named after the rocks opposite as it resembled a camel from above. This enchanting bay is only accessible by land and is worth visiting.

Faralya Village (Uzunyurt)
This charming village is located at an altitude of 440 meters with magnificent mountain and sea views and comprises of the Hisar, Orta and Kabak Districts. The village has Babadağ behind it and the Mediterranean in front of it, was formed as a result of huge earthquakes millions of years ago.
You can reach Kabak Bay by walking on the pathways or you can reach the Kelebeler Valley by skipping difficult tracks. However, if you are not a professional mountaineer, it will be much safer to depart from the village square.
The locals from this hidden village who earn a living from subsistence farming and tourism were chosen by Times Magazine as "Turkey's sixth hidden paradise".

Kabak Village
Transportation is provided by minibuses departing from Faralya, via sea route or on foot, Kabak Bay is located on the Lycian Way. For this reason, the bay is steeped in history. The steep cliffs surrounding the bay reach a height of 800 meters.
Its rare geological structural formation, springs gushing at different heights, high steep rocks and streams have ensured that animals and plant life do not leave here. Whilst sitting on the small pebble beach or swimming in the sea, the fusion of green and blue tones on these steep cliffs will enchant you.

Hisaronu; is a settlement located in the middle of Ölüdeniz, Kayaköy, Babadağ and Fethiye. Famous for its vibrant nightlife, Hisaronu; is full of bars, pubs, nightclubs and shops. It is considered to be a quiet town during the day, Hisaronu turns into a entertainment hub at night.

Paragliding from Babadağ
Contrary to what is assumed, paragliding is not by jumping from a place, but by flying off from a sloping and high hill with an open parachute. Flights can take off with two people (tandem), or just one person. Touristic flights in Babadağ are a tandem flight with an experienced pilot. The sport of Paragliding started in our country in 1990 with the discovery of Babadağ by foreign pilots.
Later, it developed with clubs established in universities. Babadağ is one of the most important paragliding centers in the world with its magnificent geographical formation and fascinating view. It would be a great loss to come to Fethiye and not experience the thrill of paragliding.
