RAMADA RESORT BY WYNDHAM KUSADASI & GOLF
Nestled snugly between the sparkling clear waters of the Aegean Sea and the soaring mountains behind, the ultra-spacious five-star Ramada Resort by Wyndham Kusadası & Golf—along with its neighbouring sister hotel, the Ramada Resort Hotel & Suites—offers an ideal base for exploring this idyllic part of the Turquoise Coast.
Comprising an impressive 30,000 square meters, the grounds of the hotel form a veritable wonderland of aqua-blue swimming pools surrounded by pristine-white sunbeds, entertainment and shopping areas, and a plethora of restaurants, snack bars, cafes, and bars—all conveniently accessible via paved walkways lined with landscaped gardens.
The hotel is a wonderland for kids too, with just about every interest and activity catered for, from waterslides and volleyball to tennis and trampolines at the site’s expansive MiniClub. Throw in regular child-friendly events such as arts and crafts, foam parties, circus performers, and fire shows—usually held at the specially designed children’s amphitheatre or the Omega stage near the slide pool—and your biggest problem will be getting the little folk to leave at the end of the stay.
Parents and adults are similarly well-catered for. Sport enthusiasts can spend their days exploring the aqua gym or playing and learning golf in the world-class 18-hole range that’s located just 15 minutes from the hotel. If you need a break from the kids, there’s an adults-only pool for peaceful relaxation as well as the calming 800-square-meter spa offering classic Turkish bath rubdowns, massages, and body treatments. And if you really want to get away from it all, an hourly shuttle brings guests to-and-from the hotel’s private beach, located a couple of kilometers away.
The hotel’s 443 rooms, set along wide corridors with elegant grey carpets and artworks showing some of the historic sites in the surrounding area, are spacious and elegant, with soothing coffee-and-cream color schemes, comfortable beds, and ensuite bathrooms featuring slippers, vanity mirrors, and hair-dryers. There are several categories to choose from (Superior, Family Suite, Junior Suite, King Suite) ranging from 34-115 square meters depending on your personal needs and tastes; the vast two-floor King Suite and Jacuzzi Suite, which comes with a balcony bubble-bath looking right over the sea, are the ultimate self-pampering options.
In terms of food, the main buffet restaurant, Petrus, offers a hugely generous array of Turkish and international offerings catering to all tastes, including the health-conscious, the vegetarian, and the young. These options are supplemented by excellent à la carte options such as Italian, seafood, and Turkish cuisine. There are also several snack bars and a patisserie for the in-between times.
In the evenings, the various poolside bars and other assorted venues offer everything from local beers and wines to cocktails and soft drinks; the London Pool Bar always has an upbeat vibe being near to the nightly DJs and live shows, and there’s a disco for those who want to dance into the night.
The bright lights of Kusadası twinkle from the near distance too. As well as a handsome marina and charming old town, it has a string of lively party bars and restaurants to explore. And the hotel provides an excellent location for local sightseeing: some must-see highlights include Ephesus, the Temple of Artemis, the House of Virgin Mary, and the Dilek Peninsula National Park.
